About
Now a Ph.D. student at CUNY, I earned my M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with a thesis in the philosophy of perceptual experience and introspection, employing some areas of convergence between early Buddhist thought and recent philosophers of cognitive science such as Jesse Prinz and Alva Noë.
I have an abiding interest in how experience with a particular character could arise from the interactions of one's choices with bodily, social, and ecological conditions.
From my background in Buddhist thought, I inherit a particular curiosity about attention: how the choices one makes about what to experience then shape what one values and who one is.
